FAQ’s

BASI Pilates Johannesburg

Yes, absolutely. However, we recommend beginning with a Private Appointment, which is subject to the physiotherapist's approval. Pilates has become increasingly popular for those recovering from injury or surgery because of its adaptable approach. In one-on-one sessions, exercises are carefully selected and tailored to your individual needs, ensuring a safe movement programme and teaching you how to move well outside the studio too. Pilates is an excellent way to regain strength, retrain correct muscle recruitment, and progress safely back to your full capability.

If you are new, please book an Assessment Private session. This session will provide you with a brief introduction to Pilates and the principles that make this method unique. During the session, your movement and any possible restrictions will be assessed, and your goals for your Pilates practice will be discussed. Pilates is more than just exercise—it is a comprehensive movement modality guided by a set of principles. We encourage you to view your first appointment as a learning opportunity and a foundation for your ongoing practice.
