BASI Pilates Johannesburg

Yes absolutely, but we do recommend starting with an Appointment 1-on-1 session. The reason Pilates has gained much popularity for those post injury or surgery is the adaptability of the method. In 1-on-1 sessions exercises are selected and can be modified to build a safe movement program specifically for your individual needs and provide the opportunity to learn how to move well outside the studio too. Pilates is the perfect modality to start regaining strength, retrain correct muscle recruitment and progress safely back to full capability.

We require new clients to book at least one introduction Appointment 1-on-1 session but recommend a minimum of five sessions if possible. In these sessions we will provide a brief background on Pilates and the principles that make this method unique. We will assess your movement and possible restrictions, and address your goals for your Pilates practice. Pilates is more than exercise, but rather a movement modality enriched by a set of principles. We encourage you to see your first Appointment as a learning experience and a foundation to build on going forward with your practice.
